The Types of Creating Cartoon Drawings

Cartooning is a powerful illustration tool that Graphic artists, as well as fashion designers, can utilize in the designing of visual communication products like magazines, paper prints, billboards etc.
There are basically five types of cartoon drawings. These are Gag, Comic Strip, Living, Editorial and Illustrative shows. Each of the types has their distinct uses in neuro-scientific visual communication.  kim cartoon

i) Gag cartoons

‘Gag’ literally means a ‘joke’. Gag cartoons are usually single-paneled cartoon that can be used to create fun about people in general. That they create humor by the use of overstatements. That they are being used as a means of entertainment. Sometimes, they are being used to focus on and poke fun at the faults or errors of humans. The shows may be accompanied by a single-sentence caption which may be the used words of a personality.

ii) Comic strip shows

This kind of cartoon appears as regular features with known or established characters in newspapers. They are made in series to show or tell a history. Each strip has a series of panels with what of characters encased in a balloon. They are published together in one or two pages.

iii) Animated cartoons (Animation)

This kind of is a short, computer drawn cartoons made to appear as if it is hand drawn. They may be made in series to create the illusion of movement and action. That they are being used for cinematography and are produced on audio-video screens. To create movement, each successive drawing in a panel is made to slightly differ from the first one before it to portray the notion of motion.

iv) Editorial cartoons

This sort of animation is made for magazine publication. They appear on the editorial page as single drawings which are being used to throw more light on the editorial statement of a newspaper. That they may appear with or without captions. Many article cartoons called caricatures stick fun at famous people such as politicians, music artists, and so forth A caricature is a toon drawing of someone that exaggerates their appearance or behavior in a funny manner to create fun.

v) Illustrative cartoons

Illustrative shows portray specific ideas in an immediate and simple manner. They help out with outlining stories, teaching aids or advertisements. They make clear further the text that occurs with them. Books used in schools usually have illustrative cartoons that assist in explaining the subject or content.
